They reported unexplained lights descending into the forest and when they ventured in to investigate, saw a glowing metallic object with colored lights. It appeared to retreat through the trees as they approached it, and eventually it took off at “phenomenal speed.”\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eUpon returning to the scene after sunrise, servicemen found three small impressions on the ground in a triangular pattern, radiation and heat readings from the trees, and burn marks, abrasions, and broken branches on the trees. Lt. Col. Halt also reported seeing three lights on December 28th, during further investigations at the site, hovering for two hours and appearing to be intermittently beaming down streams of light. A real-time account of these latter encounters can be heard on a recording made by Lt. Col.
